Stone Floor Polishing
We have been diamond polishing stone floors for over a decade. Stone floors should never be waxed to produce a shine as stone is porous and might be permanently damaged if waxed. The stone is unable to “breathe” and could crack or stain. Also, the application of very harsh, environmentally-damaging wax strippers could also permanently stain marble/granite/terrazzo floors. They should be polished using proper diamond polishing pads.
Some stone care companies will push acid crystallization of your stone floors; this method is a short-cut to properly honing and polishing the floor. Crystallization transforms the floor into something it was never intended to be….all to provide a short-term shine to a floor without the costly polishing that these type of floors require.
Carpet Cleaning Services
We use the HOST system (www.hostdry.com). This system uses no water and, therefore, produces no waste water. It pile lifts the carpet as well as cleans it. Most carpet manufacturers recommend pile lifting as the single most important maintenance step to maintaining your carpets. After pile lifting the carpet and removing all the dry dirt that has been impacted into your carpet, we would use GREEN SEAL certified carpet cleaning chemicals. The HOST approach remove over 95% of dust mites and mold. Wet steam extraction promotes the growth of mold in the carpet as at most 85% of water injected in the carpet to clean it is removed by extractors after cleaning. HOST doesn’t promote mold growth.
